Warnings, Liabilities and Instructions

USER WARNING: Instructions must be followed to avoid personal injury, injury to bystanders and/or damage to property.
  1. You must select the correct spine for your bow type (Compound, Recurve, Longbow), Arrow length and Draw weight.
    1. Refer to RND Archery's Spine Chart for recommended spine.
    2. DO NOT shoot an arrow that is spined below what the spine chart indicates.
    3. WARNING: FAILURE TO ADHERE TO SPINE CHART RECOMMENDATIONS MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY, INJURY TO OTHERS AND/OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
  2. Ensure your arrow length is appropriate for your draw length and for the arrow rest you are using.
    1. Proper arrow length is the responsibility of the user.
    2. Archers equipping arrows with broadheads should pay special attention that arrow length will allow clearance of broadheads to the archer’s hand and riser/bow.
    3. WARNING: USE OF ARROWS THAT ARE TOO SHORT MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY, INJURY TO OTHERS AND/OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.
  3. Never shoot an arrow that is damaged or you suspect might be damaged.
    1. If you suspect an arrow may be damaged, inspect your arrow for damage before use.
    2. Discard the arrow if any damage is found during inspection.
    3. WARNING: SHOOTING A DAMAGED ARROW OR ARROW SUSPECTED OF BEING DAMAGED MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY, INJURY TO OTHERS AND/OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.
  4. Inspect each arrow prior to each shot and after shipping or transportation of arrows. Inspect your arrows by visual inspection and flex testing.
    1. Arrows may be damaged during shipping or transport. Inspection of arrows after shipping or transport is necessary.
    2. Visually inspect the entire arrow for damage. DO THIS BEFORE PERFORMING A FLEX TEST OF YOUR ARROW(S). During the visual inspection, look for signs or indicators of damage. This should be done prior to each shot and after shipping or transportation of arrows.
      1. Visual inspection of your arrows includes (but is not limited to) inspection of your nock, arrow shaft, arrow point and or arrow point insert
    3. Flex test your arrow to listen and look for damaged carbon.
      1. To perform a flex test, start by grabbing the arrow just behind the point with one hand, and behind the nock with the other.
      2. Proceed to flex and rotate the arrow so the entire arrow shafts full circumference has been assessed. ALWAYS FLEX THE ARROW AWAY FROM YOURSELF AND OTHERS.
      3. While flexing the arrow, listen for cracking noises and assess for splits, cracks, nicks, dents, or any other marks you may have missed during the visual inspection.
      4. Repeat flex tests multiple times to reduce the risk of injury from arrow failure.
      5. If any of the above is found during the flex test, discard the damaged arrow.
      6. WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions properly may result in injury during flex test.
    4. WARNING: NEVER FLEX TEST AN ARROW IF VISUAL DAMAGE IS FOUND. FLEX TESTING A DAMAGED ARROW SHAFT COULD RESULT IN ARROW SNAPPING IN YOUR HANDS. THIS MAY RESULT IN INJURY.
    5. Failure to properly inspect arrows may result in PERSONAL INJURY, INJURY TO OTHERS AND OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.
  5. Damaged arrow shafts are not to be trimmed for reuse.
    1. Arrow shafts that have sustained damage of any kind, anywhere on the arrow shaft are not to be trimmed down and re-used. Discard the damaged arrow shaft immediately.
    2. WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions may result IN PERSONAL INJURY, INJURY TO OTHERS AND/OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.
  6. Cut all arrow shafts using a highspeed arrow saw manufactured specifically for cutting arrow shafts.
